Crews quickly knocked down a brush fire in Spanish Springs on Saturday afternoon. The small brush fire started at Pyramid Way and Calle de la Plata. Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue officials say the fire started around a utility pole after a transformer blew. No injuries were reported.
