Woman Killed in Crash Near the Cares Campus Identified

Food Not Bombs, a group that helps feed the homeless, says 55 year old Michelle Jardin, also known as Mama Bear, was the person killed in a car crash at East Fourth and Line drive near the Cares Campus. She was homeless and was the last person they served food to Monday night, before David Turner drove his car into her and two volunteers. The two volunteers were mother Diamond Roman and daughter Clarissa Roman. Police arrested 57-year-old David Turner, who is charged with one count of open murder and two counts of attempted murder. Turner is facing a murder charge, in the apparently deliberate attack.
