Reno Police Respond to “Swatting” Call at UNR

Reno Police were called to the University of Nevada around 8:30 last night on a report of an active shooter, it turned out to be a swatting call. A large police presence gathered on campus, before the scene was cleared. According to RPD, the call was made using a text-to-call phone number from out of state. Officers checked the campus, and determined by 9:00 P.M. that there was no threat.
