Suspect in Custody in Reno Standoff

UPDATE: The suspect in the case that caused a standoff and shut down Plumb Lane and Benjamin Franklin has been taken into custody.

(Reno, NV) — Reno Police have converged on a home off Ben Franklin and Plumb Lane, and issued a shelter-in-place order for neighbors in the area, after a man apparently barricaded himself inside a home for reasons not yet specified. This happened earlier Thursday when the suspect, who was not identified, apparently led authorities on a chase that began shortly after he crossed over from California and went into the city. Reno Police Department, Nevada Highway Patrol, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, REMSA, and RAVEN are all on scene.
