Multiple agencies were called a brush fire in northeast Sparks last night near Los Altos Parkway in the area of Culpepper Drive. The fire was first reported just after 10 o’clock and burned about 5 acres. The City of Sparks says no structures were threatened. Fire officials say it was started by fireworks.

Another fire caused by fireworks happened last night on Rising Tides Drive in Sparks near the Kiley Ranch Wetlands. It is unclear at this time if anyone is facing charges for these fires.
