One Reno OB/GYN will not be practicing medicine, at least for awhile. That’s because Dr. Samuel Chacon’s license has been suspended by the state board of medical examiners. The decision came down from the board’s investigating committee, which based it’s ruling on a decision, that they say Chacon was a health and safety risk. It was in November 2022 that Chacon had surrendered his hospital privileges following allegations of improper medical practices. He was one of 27 arrested back in October, as part of sting near UNR. Chacon will get a hearing on his license in October, at which time the suspension may continue.
