A fire heavily damaged the Kit Kat Ranch brothel last night in Mound House. Nine employees were safely evacuated from the building with no injuries. People first reported seeing smoke coming out of the front of the building at about 6:15 p.m. Fire crews arrived and started attacking the flames from the front but they spread into the ceiling. The building’s design included false ceilings which helped spread the fire through the attic and through the heating and air conditioning system. Crews had the fire fully out just before 9 p.m. The building has suffered extensive damage.
