The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspected reckless driver who ran from U.S. 50 into the snow. 50 year old Jason Freed was booked on charges of driving under the influence, probation violation, resisting arrest and driving without a valid license. A deputy attempted to stop Freed on U.S. 50 near Elks Club Drive in South Lake Tahoe yesterday morning. They say Freed tried to hide his vehicle behind a building and then ran into a forested area. He was found hiding with the help of the South Lake Tahoe Police Department and the California Highway Patrol.
