The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and East Fork Fire responded to a report of an unconscious person yesterday [Tuesday] on the side of the road. Around 7 a.m., they found a man in the 900 block of Arrowhead Drive south of Gardnerville. The man was identified as 67-year-old Terry Buchanan of Gardnerville, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The Washoe County Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy to determine cause and manner of death, but foul play is not believed to be involved at this time.
