Nevada Supreme Court Orders P.I. to Disclose Client’s Name in Mayor Tracking Case

Nevada’s Supreme Court is ordering private investigator David McNeely to disclose the name of the person who hired him to track Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve and former Washoe County Commissioner Vaughn Hartung. Schieve filed the lawsuit in December 2022, after a mechanic discovered a GPS device attached to her vehicle. Hartung joined the suit soon after, claiming similar circumstances. An investigation into the device revealed it had been purchased by McNeely. The case is now headed back to district court.
