USPS Will Modernize Operations at Reno Facility, Mail Will Still be Sent to Sacramento

The local mail will still be sent to Sacramento, but the post office says Reno will get a consolation prize of sorts. In a statement, the USPS says it will spend millions of dollars to modernize operations here and make the local sorting facility, a processing center. There will also be no layoffs. In an earlier interview, one Northern Nevada Congressman says the USPS’ plans were a bad idea to start with.
