Man Arrested For Selling Fatal Fentanyl Dose

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a man for selling a Silver Springs man a fatal dose of fentanyl. 32-year-old Joseph Rose Tyler Maciel was booked into the Lyon County jail on charges of distributing a controlled substance that causes death and fentanyl possession. On Dec. 11, deputies went to a reported overdose on Citrus Street in Silver Springs and found 22-year-old Michael Fernandez dead. In January, toxicology reports showed Fernandez overdosed on Fentanyl. According to the sheriff’s office an investigation showed Maciel sold Fernandez the fentanyl. He was arrested Wednesday.
