Forward progress has been stopped on the Peterson Fire after burning about 22 acres. It is on the east side of U.S. 395 about 2.5 miles south of the northern intersection of Red Rock Road with U.S. 395. The fire’s cause remains under investigation, but it is believed to be human-caused.
