(Reno, NV) — Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday are expected to be the busiest days of the Thanksgiving travel week at Reno-Tahoe International Airport. The Airport Authority is projecting about 17-thousand to 18-thousand passengers per day on those peak days. The number of travelers to pass through the airport this week is expected to exceed last year’s total by 15 percent. That would make it the busiest Thanksgiving week at the airport in about 17 years. Airport officials expect the parking garage and long-term parking to fill up. TSA is planning to open screening stations earlier to help long lines move faster.
