(Reno, NV) — Five schools and 23 classrooms in the Washoe County School District are still dealing with illnesses to students and staff. As of Thursday night, two schools have had the entire school affected by respiratory illness outbreaks, while another has had the entire school affected by a gastrointestinal illness outbreak. Sixteen classrooms have been impacted by respiratory outbreaks, four by gastrointestinal issues and three by a rash. The WCSD added one school to its list of schools on outbreak status on Thursday. The schools have not been identified by name.
