(Reno, NV) — Demolition of the old Reno police station across from Greater Nevada Field is underway. The former station was replaced by the Reno Police Department’s new Public Safety Center. Demolition will likely take about two to three weeks. The new Reno Fire Department headquarters will be built on the site after demolition is complete. Construction of the fire headquarters is expected to be completed in 2027. The Reno Fire Department has been without its own headquarters since 2008.
