(Sparks, NV) — Tesla is planning to hire more than a thousand new workers in Nevada to build semitrucks. That is according to a report published in Business Insider this week. The electric vehicle maker is reportedly planning to begin production of the first units of its long-delayed semitrucks at the Gigafactory east of Sparks by the end of this year. The factory will have an annual production capacity of 50-thousand units. Tesla initially said it would have its semitrucks in production by 2019.
