(Fernley, NV) — A man is behind bars on suspicion of kidnapping and other crimes after three boys were rescued from a home in Fernley. Lyon County Sheriff’s deputies initially received a call reporting threats at about 8:15 Tuesday night. Then, a minor called 911, reporting he and two other boys were being held captive in a basement and had been assaulted. Deputies arrived at the home and detained the suspect, Guillermo Aboytes Saavedra, then freed the boys. Two of the victims have significant injuries from being repeatedly struck. Saavedra is also facing the charges of child abuse, false imprisonment, robbery with a deadly weapon and battery with a deadly weapon.
