(Reno, NV) — The person accused of illegally tracking Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve’s car is asking to remain anonymous. The person is taking their bid to keep their identity hidden to the U.S. Supreme Court. The court could decide whether the person has a right under the First Amendment to stay anonymous. Last month, the Nevada Supreme Court ordered a private investigator to disclose the name of the person who hired him to plant a tracking device on the vehicles of both Schieve and Washoe County Commissioner Vaughn Hartung.
