(Reno, NV) — An air quality advisory is in place for the Reno-Sparks area through the end of the weekend. Northern Nevada Public Health’s Air Quality Management Division expects the air quality to reach the unhealthy for sensitive groups range, due to elevated ground-level ozone levels. Children, older adults, and people with asthma and other lung diseases are advised to limit their time outdoors. Residents are also encouraged to reduce or combine vehicle trips, refuel gasoline vehicles in the evening, use gasoline-powered lawn and garden equipment in the evening, limit engine idling and conserve energy.
