(Carson City, NV) — So far, Governor Joe Lombardo has vetoed 33 bills that were passed by Nevada lawmakers during this year’s legislative session. The Republican governor continues to clash with the Democrat-controlled legislature. Seven of the bills Lombardo rejected had to do with designating a day or a month to recognize a person, group or topic. He did sign a bill that designates January 27th as International Holocaust Remembrance Day in Nevada. Lombardo issued a record 75 vetoes in 2023. The governor has also signed 229 bills into law this year, as of Wednesday.
