(Reno, NV) — Sparks City Attorney Wes Duncan is running for Washoe County District Attorney. He made the announcement on Monday. Duncan will challenge incumbent Christopher Hicks, who recently announced a reelection bid for 2026. Duncan says he wants to make Washoe County a safer place to raise a family. He is also calling out Hicks, saying each notable crime trend in the county “is moving in the wrong direction.” Hicks responded by saying crime in Washoe County is down.
