(Carson City, NV) — Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford has announced that the state will receive about 58-million dollars from the national seven-point-four-billion-dollar settlement with Purdue Pharma and the Sackler family. Ford had joined all other eligible states in signing on to the settlement over the opioid crisis. Attorneys general nationwide had argued the company marketed OxyContin without regard to their addictive nature. The money will go toward addiction prevention and treatment programs.
