Conner Fire Containment Increases to 51%

(Gardnerville, NV) — The Conner Fire south of Gardnerville has burned more than 17-thousand-700 acres of land and is now 51 percent contained. Containment was at 28 percent on Monday morning. The fire started early Friday morning. It was sparked by a house fire in Carter Springs. Nearly 400 firefighters are battling the fire on the ground and in the air. Topaz Lake, which was closed due to firefighting operations, is back open.
