Barron Fire in Reno 60% Contained

(Reno, NV) — The 340-acre Barron Fire in Reno is now 60 percent contained. Firefighters were aided by heavy rains on Tuesday night. The fire started shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday and spread south across Rattlesnake Mountain. All forward progress has since been stopped. There are no reports of injuries or structural damage. All evacuations and road closures have been lifted.
