Nevada Leaders Scoff at ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’ Passage

(Carson City, NV) — As expected, the Senate’s passage of President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” garnered negative reactions from Nevada Senators Jacky Rosen and Catherine Cortez-Masto. Rosen said the bill takes away health care coverage and food assistance, while Cortez-Masto said she voted against the bill, claiming it would kick 17 million people off healthcare and cut more than 1.1 million dollars in healthcare funding. The bill passed the Senate by a 51-50 vote, with Vice President JD Vance offering the tie-breaking vote.
