(Reno, NV) — Much of Northern Nevada is in the middle of a heat advisory. The advisory will remain in place through eleven o’clock Wednesday morning. The National Weather Service is calling for highs between 95 and 105 degrees. Impacted areas include northern Washoe County, the greater Reno-Carson City-Minden area, the Western Nevada Basin and Range including Pyramid Lake, along with Mineral and southern Lyon counties. Some isolated areas are facing an extreme heat risk. Today is expected to be the hottest day of the week in Reno, with a high of 101 degrees in the forecast.
