A pedestrian was killed while crossing U.S. 50 in east Carson City last night. It happened just after 6pm near Nye Lane. The pedestrian was walking across U.S. 50 outside of a crosswalk when they were hit by an eastbound vehicle. Speed and impairment were not factors, according to Nevada State Police. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
