[KOH] – Reno is getting a new ward. The Reno City council voted to move forward with hiring an outside consultant to draw maps creating the city’s 6th ward. City Manager, JW Hodge, says city staff will work to begin community outreach so residents can be part of the process.

He says they’ll also have an online tool where people can submit their ideas and post comment. The 6th Ward replaces the former at-large seat that represented the entire city.
