[KOH] – A bill has been introduced in the Nevada legislature to offer a tax incentive package to convince Sony Pictures to move its headquarters from Culver City, California to Las Vegas. The Nevada Independent says sources tell them the incentives could be as much as $3.9 billion dollars over 20 years, and that Sony is prepared to commit up to $1 billion in production spending in the state over a decade,. The sponsor of the bill, State Senator Roberta Lange from southern Nevada, says this could lead to thousands of good-paying union jobs.
