Several Bills Die on Major Deadline in NV Legislature

(Carson City, NV) — A handful of bills died this week on a major deadline in the Nevada legislature. The bills that failed to pass included a Republican-backed measure on property insurance for fires when the type of insurance is not already available. Another bill that died was a Democratic-supported proposal that would have blocked homeowners associations from stopping owners from installing electric vehicle charging stations in common areas. Bills that survived included suicide prevention, price gouging and a measure to make sex education in public schools opt-out instead of opt-in.
