(Las Vegas, NV) — A contingency plan is in place if construction of the Athletics’ baseball stadium on the Las Vegas Strip is never completed. The A’s and Clark County are planning to enter into a performance agreement that will govern the steps taken if that were to happen. As part of the agreement, the A’s will be required to submit a three-point-seven-million-dollar security bond. The money would be held by Clark County and be used to decommission the stadium project if necessary. The performance agreement is up for approval at today’s Clark County Zoning Commission meeting.
