Conner Fire: 17,713 Acres, 19% Contained

(Gardnerville, NV) — The Conner Fire south of Gardnerville has burned more than 17-thousand-700 acres of land and is 19 percent contained. The wind-driven fire started early Friday morning. At least one home burned before the flames spread to brush in Carter Springs. All evacuation orders were lifted on Saturday night. Topaz Lake remains closed to the public until further notice. The cause of the initial structure fire is unclear.
