RARE NEVADA QUARTER WORTH SIX FIGURES — A coin minted in Carson City in the 1870’s was just sold here in Reno, and thanks to the rarity of the coin, the sellers got more than six figures for it. The coin is an 1873 no arrows quarter that was minted in the beginning of that year, but in February of 1873, the amount of silver added to the coins was changed, so most of the old coins were melted down to make new coins. Very few escaped, and the ones that still exist are worth a lot of money, six figures!
