An application has been filed with the city of Reno to build northern Nevada’s first Chick-fil-A chicken restaurant.  A new facility with a drive-through would be built on the site of the vacant Marie Calendar’s restaurant at South McCarran between the freeway and Kietzke.  The application states the restaurant would be a 4500-square-foot building with 122 seats. They plan to hire as many as 45 employees.  A neighborhood advisory committee will look at the plans in the coming weeks, and the Reno Planning Commission will approve or deny the project in December.  The chain has over 1800 locations in the United States.
