A man is in jail after a Sparks Police officer observed a car on Victorian Avenue that matched the description of a vehicle reported stolen to Reno Police several days earlier. The officer confirmed the car had been reported stolen and tried to stop the vehicle. The vehicle immediately attempted to flee westbound on Victorian. The driver of the car lost control and crashed into a wall on G Street. Police say Jesse Bennet ran from the vehicle, but was arrested and booked into jail. He’s been charged with eluding a peace officer, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of counterfeit bills, and possession of a dangerous weapon.
