Toys for Tots was a big success this year in Carson City, Douglas, Lyon and Storey counties, with enough gifts donated to surprise around 3000 kids this year. Every child that is eligible for Toys For Tots will get three presents for Christmas, and three stocking stuffers. Toys for Tots also gives Christmas gifts to kids in transition, like foster care. Even after Walmart’s decision to pull donation bins from inside its stores, the Marines that help collect gifts for Toys for Tots still got a lot of support, with hundreds of donations coming in outside of the stores. Toys For Tots has been collecting new, unwrapped toys for children at Christmas time for 67 years.
