Casino Revenue Up, Net Income Down

Nevada’s casinos pulled in three percent more revenue in 2015 than the previous year, but had an overall loss in net income for the seventh straight year, according to the Gaming Control Board. Casinos brought in 25.6 billion, in the fiscal year that ended June 30th, for a net loss of 662 million. That’s a lot less than the 744 million dollar shortfall of fiscal 2014. Washoe Counties 37 casinos had revenues of 1.5 billion and a loss of 7.4 million. South Lake Tahoe’s six properties reported a net loss of 150 million. Gambling has fallen to less than 35% of total casino income.
