Pine Middle School parents have been told the school’s gym is “destroyed” from flooding, and the school is filled with asbestos. All floor tile and carpet has to be replaced, and all the asbestos has to be removed. Classes won’t return from winter break until January 25th. The damage was caused by a broken water pipe during Christmas weekend. Students will make up lost time with an extended school day until spring break.
