Reno Man Gets 15 Years For Felony DUI

The Washoe County District Attorney’s Office says a Reno man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for a felony conviction of driving under the influence of alcohol. Officials in the D.A’s office say 59-year-old Patrick Kevin McKinnon was sentenced Wednesday, in Washoe County District Court to 15 years in prison for one count of D-U-I. The D.A’s office says McKinnon had a documented blood alcohol level of .32 in this case and had two prior felony DUI convictions, in addition to two prior misdemeanor DUI convictions. The case against McKinnon began in November 2015 when he was involved in a motor vehicle accident. While investigating the accident, officers noticed that McKinnon showed signs of intoxication and ultimately arrested him for DUI. McKinnon pled guilty to the charge last December.
