The Carson City downtown corridor project breaks ground today and city manager Nick Marano says it will take only seven months to complete.  The construction will span almost 2.7 miles on Carson Street from William to Fifth Streets. The design will add two to three parking spots on each block and widen the sidewalks 12 to 20 feet.  The $8.1 million dollar project will also add bike lanes and parklets.
