A Placer County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman confirms a detective is at Northstar investigating a mother’s claims that she was assaulted by a snowboarder last month. Danelle Foster’s blog post on “ShredMom,” is gaining traction on social media in the region. Foster says she confronted an out of control snowboarder, asking him to board under control, only to be punched in the face and threatened with being banned from the resort. Foster also claims Northstar did not reprimand the snowboarder, and instead revoked her Season Pass. Dena Erwin says if the Placer County detective deems Foster’s claims are valid, then the aggressor would face charges for misdemeanor battery. Northstar disputes Foster’s story.
