The Nevada Department of Wildlife says their annual fish count was fairly predictable because of the drought, but with all the snow and rain, anglers should see better fishing this year. NDOW does their fish count every year to get an idea of just how many fish that are still alive in the Truckee River. There weren’t many 2 and 3 year old fish, but some of the trophy sized fish did make it, because they ate the smaller ones. Around 30,000 fish will be stocked this season in the Truckee River.
