Former Nevada Wolf Pack star Colin Kaepernick remains a San Francisco 49er. His 11.9 milllion dollar salary for 2016 vested,  when he stayed on the roster April 1st.  Kaepernick has had some big highs with the Niners, taking them to a Superbowl, but he has struggled the past two seasons, and is recovering from injuries. He has let it be known he’d like to be traded, and many fans believe he’s been scapegoated by the incompetence in the 49ers front office.
