Reno Police say it’s likely an accident on Oddie Blvd. east of Sutro Thursday evening was the result of a medical episode that claimed the life of the vehicle’s driver. Officers were called to the location shortly before 5:00 and found a 70 year old man unconscious in the vehicle. The woman passenger in the vehicle told officers that the driver had a medical episode while driving and lost consciousness causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and roll. The man and woman were taken to a local hospital where the man was pronounced deceased. The woman suffered multiple broken bones, but it is not believed her injuries are life threatening.
