Cave Rock Tunnel in Douglas County, is about to get a safety overhaul. Q&D Construction’s been awarded a contract to extend the tunnel. The idea is to prevent rockfalls that block traffic. Instead rocks will fall on top of the tunnel. Construction is set to start in May, and be completed by October.
