For the third year, Virginia City hosts FlashbackFriday Museum Days, an opportunity to tour 12 of the historic town’s museums. While admission is waived, donations are encouraged, as many rely solely on contributions to remain open. #FlashbackFriday Museum Days are the first Friday of each month, May through October. In 2015, nearly 1,500 learned about life on the Comstock while more than 45 hundred dollars in donations went to preservation efforts to help keep the town’s history alive for generations to come. A museum pass is required for admission and is available at the Virginia City Visitors Center, at 86 South C St. The first is May 6th.
