A robbery suspect is being treated after slitting his wrists and ramming a patrol car into another. The robbery happened at a 7-Eleven store on North Carson Street around 3AM Thursday. The suspect walked into the store, showed a toy gun to the clerk and filled a bag with bottles of alcohol before running off. A deputy saw the suspect and gave chase. The suspect ran around the deputy, and got into the driver’s side of his patrol car. The deputy got into the passenger side and fought with the suspect, who rammed the car into another patrol car and then hit storage units at a nearby apartment complex. The suspect cut his wrists with a knife at some point before climbing into the patrol car. 27 year old Nathan Oakie has some other “Issues,” he is a suspect in the sexual assault of a minor, and possession of child pornography.
