An 80 acre fire is burning in Lodi Valley, about 7 miles northeast of Gabbs near the Big Chief Mine, Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center reports.  No buildings are threatened from this fire on Bureau of Land Management land, which was first reported a little after 4:00, Wednesday afternoon.  Two single-engine air tankers were attacking the fire with an air attack plane coordinating the firefighting efforts from the air.  BLM ground crews from the Carson City and Winnemucca BLM districts are on the scene.
