Clinics Help Disabled Vets Prep for Senior Games

The Department of Veterans Affairs has given an Adaptive Sports Grant to the City of Reno that will allow the city to offer shuffleboard and bowling clinics before the 2016 Senior Summer Games. The City’s Senior Games will offer two clinics specifically for disabled veterans. The Shuffleboard Clinic will be held on Tuesday, July 19th at the Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center from 1:30 – 4 pm. Veterans at least 50 years old can participate. The Bowling Clinic will be held on Tuesday, July 26th, from 9-11 am at the National Bowling Stadium on Center Street. Non-ambulatory veterans 50 years old and up can participate, and assistive bowling equipment will be provided.
